All Evoque Eco modular supports feature 40mm Carbonized Bamboo with a choice of three interchangeable leg heights capable of supporting equipment up to 30kg (66 lbs) per level. The black powder coated high gloss legs fitted to the shelf modules are equipped with twin A.S.I.S.T (Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology) dampening gaskets and carbon steel studs with aerospace grade Aluminium grounding components matched to full adjustable nickel plated 8mm steel spikes. These components are designed to both dampen and then allow residual high frequency resonance reflection to be channelled away from the supported AV components so allowing them to deliver maximum performance.
As well as the 145mm, 195mm and 245mm standard inner leg shelf heights, a separate 300mm leg replacement accessory pack can be purchased separately. This leg pack is interchangeable with ANY of the standard height shelf modules and can be found within the Accessories section of the website.
Atacama's high density carbonized bamboo gives significant major sonic qualities when compared to traditional hardwood and veneered supports, with its unique micro growth pore structure offering both excellent vibration absorbing and resonance controlling properties.
The production processes, layering, density, and overall thickness have been specifically chosen to give the best possible acoustic results. However, please be aware that as bamboo is a natural material, there will be colour variations especially if adding an extra shelf module later. Each bamboo module is selected, cut, finished and prepared by hand at the UK based Atacama factory so giving a stylish, modern appearance.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
-Ecologically sustainable-
Being a grass, bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on the planet that when harvested will continue to grow allowing a new crop every 5 to 7 years. Because of this fast renewable growth, bamboo absorbs very high levels of CO2.
The species of bamboo plant harvested in the Construction of Atacama Evoque supports is not a food source for humans or endangered animal species and is not sourced from the Peoples Republic of China (so Giant Panda friendly!).
No pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilizers are in the growth cycle of the bamboo used for Atacama products.
-Carbon Neutral-
Because of its fast growth rate and high CO2 absorption, when factoring in processing, manufacturing and shipping the bamboo remains a Carbon neutral material.
Please note: - Bamboo is a natural material so colour, texture, grain and age may give a variable appearance to each shelf. Because of this, adding an extra shelf later will introduce a batch /colour tonal difference. Where possible order your Evoque as a complete modular support with enough levels to fulfil possible future requirements to minimize this variation. There may be some darkening of the Bamboo over time. This is normal and part of the materials maturing process.
IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ: -
Bamboo is a unique material so will not match other woods. The colours shown in the photography are a representation taken in a very well-lit photo studio under artificial light. Do not attempt to use these images to match with other woods and furnishings as batch colour, shading, room lighting, natural variation, and wood grain will be different. Even the differences between viewing screen types will make colour matching impossible.
As a (very!) rough guide, under normal home lighting conditions, typically Natural finish generally has a buttery like appearance, Medium finish is similar to Milk chocolate with the Dark Finish having a Dark chocolate look. THERE WILL BE VERIATIONS EVEN WITHIN THIS DISCRIPTION.
Any number of modules can be used providing the maximum overall height of the support does not exceed 1255mm (50").
30kg per level loads can be exceeded by an additional 15kg on the base module providing the extra weight used is deducted from the overall capacity of the modules placed upon it.
All Evoque ECO supports are made in the UK.
