L-9 Compact Floor Stander
The L-9 is the smallest of the floorstanders, and the sleek and stylish design matches the L-series.
It is a 3-way design using three 4,5” drivers where one serves as a midrange driver and the other two delivers the low range frequencies.
Together with the 25 mm soft dome tweeter, the L-9 is a good choice for a small to medium sized room, delivering a bottom range that is not expected from such a slim design.
To stabilize the narrow enclosure, feet made from solid aluminum are mounted, to give the L-9 a wider footprint. The stability added from the feet, in combination with the MDF-enclosure with the additional 15 mm front baffle, helps the L-9 deliver a solid performance.
The matching magnetic front grille with furniture grade fabric matches the L-series giving it a discrete and elegant look.
The terminals are five way binding posts allowing use with any kind of connections. Spikes are included as well.
Scansonic L9 floor-stander: 1 psc 1” tweeter & 3 psc 4,5” woofer ported cabinet. L9 comes with aluminum feet and aluminum spikes.
Engineered with audiophile-grade components — premium drivers, hand-matched crossovers, and a hardwood enclosure tuned for natural decay. Every cabinet is internally braced and damped to suppress resonance below the threshold of audibility.
- Custom 6.5" mid-bass driver with paper-pulp cone for transient accuracy.
- Soft-dome silk tweeter with neodymium motor for airy, fatigue-free highs.
- Point-to-point hand-wired crossover using silver-foil capacitors.
- Bi-wirable terminals plated in pure copper.
Place each speaker on its dedicated stand, toed-in toward the listening position. The hardwood enclosure resonates in concert with the drivers — a deliberate, musical interaction rather than a flaw to be eliminated.
Connect to a quality amplifier using bi-wired speaker cable for the most transparent presentation. Allow 50–100 hours of break-in for the drivers and crossover capacitors to settle into their final voicing.
