Ultra-Clear Sound Performance
Handcrafted Premium Finish
The AGD Andante is the perfect companion for the Vivace or The Audion GaNTube Monoblocks. Crafted with the same care and dedication as all AGD products, the Andante is a superior musical preamplifier that combines all the best of the analog and digital technology available today.
The AGD Andante is a fully balanced analog design with four analog inputs and three analog outputs. The phono stage input is configurable for MC or MM cartridges. All analog circuits are fully shielded and separated from Digital Boards. A set of dedicated ultra-low noise LDO supply stages and high-dynamic low noise professional-grade instrumentation amplifiers complete the output buffer stage.
The volume control is completely passive, with high-precision resistors in a 256-step ladder attenuator configuration. The Andante has full HD Streaming Capability (DLNA, UPNP, AirPlay, ROON) via Ethernet port, and has full AptX-Bluetooth compliance functionality.
With a state of the art USB module, based on the latest XMOS chipset that can decode any audio format available today (from MP3 to DSD512), and its professional-grade 32bit-384kHz R2R DAC with DSP functions, the AGD “ANDANTE” is a complete audiophile Analog and Digital Reference Preamplifier that delivers a unique set of features capable to meet the utmost musical standards of any demanding audiophile.Engineered with audiophile-grade components — premium drivers, hand-matched crossovers, and a hardwood enclosure tuned for natural decay. Every cabinet is internally braced and damped to suppress resonance below the threshold of audibility.
- Custom 6.5" mid-bass driver with paper-pulp cone for transient accuracy.
- Soft-dome silk tweeter with neodymium motor for airy, fatigue-free highs.
- Point-to-point hand-wired crossover using silver-foil capacitors.
- Bi-wirable terminals plated in pure copper.
Place each speaker on its dedicated stand, toed-in toward the listening position. The hardwood enclosure resonates in concert with the drivers — a deliberate, musical interaction rather than a flaw to be eliminated.
Connect to a quality amplifier using bi-wired speaker cable for the most transparent presentation. Allow 50–100 hours of break-in for the drivers and crossover capacitors to settle into their final voicing.
